How can film provide ways of investigating and communicating the sensory, bodily, and emotional dimensions of religious experience that complement written analysis? “Light upon light” was produced between 2014-22 and premiered at CPH:DOX and Cairo IFF in 2022. It is the first film in a planned trilogy with the Cairo-based film collective Hassala Films.
