This roundtable session features authors of recent social science books that critically illuminate the role of race and gender in American religion. Through lively discussion, the authors will offer insight into how American Christianity is unfolding in multiple directions through research on how pastors of color navigate racially diverse religious organizations, how hypermasculinity is constructed in conservative white Christianity, and how African American Christian engage with Israel-Palestine.
