Religious nationalism: What kinds of contributions might Comparative Religious Ethics and contemporary theological scholarship make to discussions of religious nationalism? Specifically, (with regard to the AAR's 2024 theme "Violence, Nonviolence, and the Margin",) how have religious traditions constructed militarism, violence, and the state in relation to nationalism? Contemporary or historical analyses are welcome.
